- The industry has welcomed British Baker's #WeLoveBread campaign – which has seen supporters visit Number 10 to challenge David Cameron's decision to ditch bread from his diet. The magazine was joined by a host of industry organisations, including the British Society of Baking, the Federation of Bakers, Craft Bakers Association and Scottish Bakers. - The Federation of Bakers responds to MacGregor’s salt study in the American Heart Association journal, Hypertension -Gordon Polson, Director of The Federation of Bakers commented “Professor MacGregor is using data from 2007 -2010 which is now out of date. Salt in bread has continued to be reduced since this study was carried out. Bakers will continue to try and reduce salt where possible across the whole range of their products”Read more ..
