CHAIRMAN RE-ELECTED FOR FEDERATION OF BAKERS
Joseph Street has been re-elected as the Chairman for the Federation of Bakers. Joe was formally re-elected at the Annual General Meeting on 20 May 2009.

Born in Manchester in 1947, Joe has spent his entire career in the baking industry. He started as a management trainee with British Bakeries at Hollings College, Manchester. He subsequently worked in many of their bakeries, resigning from RHM as Bakeries Director, Retail in 1989.

Joe joined Fine Lady Bakeries in January 1990 as MD, working directly for the Heygate family.

He has been a Council Member and Honorary Treasurer of the Federation of Bakers for a number of years and, more recently, has played a leading role in establishing the use of an industry wide bread basket.

Gordon Polson, Director for the Federation of Bakers, said; “Joe has worked in the bakery industry for many years, and brings a wealth of experience to his role as Chairman. It is a challenging and interesting time for bakers and we look forward to Joe's knowledge and skill helping the Federation towards a successful future.”

The Vice Chairman of the Federation of Bakers is Paul Molyneux, with Co-Vice Chairman Mark Fairweather. Paul is currently Central Technical Director at Premier Foods Group and Chairman of the Federation of Bakers Technical Panel. The Treasurer is Brian Irwin, MD of W. D. Irwin & Sons based in Belfast.
